If you are planning a trip to Miami, then you will know what an exciting experience this can be. With that said, there are some things that you need to be mindful of, so you can make the most out of your experience as a whole.
December to February
If you are an outdoorsy person then the best time for you to visit Miami would be for you to go between December and February. Whether you want to catch some sun or whether you want to try to explore the many walking trails, this is the best time for you to go. With temperatures around the mid-70s, you can still be pretty warm, but at the same time, layer up if you feel as though you need to. Birding attracts a lot of people during this time as well, but at the same time, you will also see some feathered friends in the more public spaces if you feel as though this would be something you’d benefit from. You can also go to the east side of town to the Oleta River State Park, as this is again a great opportunity for you to do a bit of bird watching.
March to May
If you want to go during March or any time up to May, then you will want to make sure that you pack some winter clothes. With that said, there are a lot of events that take place during this time, and when you go, you will see that the towns are full of festivities. You can go to dance parties, or you can go to workshops if you want. You will also notice that the Ultra Music Festival gets hosted during this time, so you won’t want to miss out on that either. If you want a nice place to stay while in Miami, then you won’t want to miss out on the Upsun Hotel, a luxury boutique hotel in Miami Beach. This is a great way for you to be close to everything, but at the same time, it also allows you to be near the relaxing beaches that make Miami so special.
If you do want to go to Miami, then you should also know that there’s a big range of indoor attractions as well. Families will love checking out some of the museums, and there are a lot of sensory activities as well. Keep in mind that hurricane season tends to start around June and it will run until November as well. If there is a threat, then you have a way higher chance of flights being cancelled, so it’s good to be flexible. If you do make a hotel booking during this time, then you may want to book insurance with it, as this is a great way for you to make sure that you don’t end up being stranded.
So as you can see, Miami is full of things to see and do, and if you go during the times above, you won’t have an issue.
