Fleurs de Villes Turns Greystone Mansion Into a Gilded Age Floral Ball

Greystone Mansion has hosted weddings, film shoots, and a century of Beverly Hills history. This week it is hosting a ball where every guest is made of flowers. Fleurs de Villes, the touring floral couture exhibition, has filled the mansion with mannequins dressed entirely in fresh blooms, each one inspired by HBO’s The Gilded Age. The show runs October 28 through November 4, 2026. The effect is enchanting: a surreal fantasy staged inside one of the most storied houses in California, and one of the most photogenic rooms in Los Angeles right now.

Fleurs de Villes works with local florists in every city it visits. Each team takes a character or a costume from the show and rebuilds it in petals, leaves, moss, and seed heads, at full scale. Nothing is silk. Nothing is plastic. Every gown in the mansion is alive, and it will only look like this for a few days.

The standout pieces

In the wood paneled great room, under the chandeliers, a figure in a pink floral jacket pours out of a skirt built from hundreds of roses, dahlias, and trailing amaranthus in blush and burgundy. The tailoring is the astonishing part. From across the room it reads as couture first and flowers second.

The boldest piece in the house is a ball gown in deep red. The bodice is fringed with amaranthus under a collar of white fern, and the skirt is a solid construction of red roses, anthuriums, and hydrangeas standing on a bed of moss. It is dramatic in the exact way the Gilded Age intended everything to be dramatic.

In the bright room with the black and white checkered floor, a figure in cream stands in a ring of yellow roses, palms rising behind her against the arched windows. It is the quietest piece in the show and the one people kept returning to.

Catering by Crateful

Catering at the event is by Crateful Catering, and even the drinks are on theme. In the garden, guests carry cups topped with rose petals past a gilded frame built for photographs, with The Gilded Age artwork mounted inside it. It sounds like a small detail. It is the detail people will post.

How to visit

Fleurs de Villes at Greystone Mansion & Gardens, 905 Loma Vista Drive in Beverly Hills, runs through Wednesday, November 4, 2026. Entry is timed and tickets are sold through Fever, so book a slot rather than showing up. Go earlier in the run if you can. Fresh flowers reward the people who arrive first, and by the final days the earliest visitors will have seen the sharpest version of every gown.

Greystone is worth the trip on its own. Paired with the allure of Greystone Mansion itself, this week of flowers should not be missed.

Also this week: Candlelight Halloween Classics concert at the TCL Chinese Theatre.
