When it comes to Europe, Scandinavia often gets overlooked. And that’s a shame, considering the stunning natural beauty found throughout this small region.
Reasons to visit
Scandinavia is a northern European region with Denmark, Sweden, Norway, and Finland. This place has everything you’re looking for: nice weather, stunning landscapes, cozy accommodations, and fantastic food. If you go there during the winter season, take a short hike into the forests or a ski trip to a nearby mountain.
One of Scandinavia’s most famous natural landmarks is Lysefjorden in Norway. The two-kilometre-deep fjord contains an Evje or alpine farm used primarily as an agricultural school.
Gothenburg is a city with many beautiful natures on its doorstep. The archipelago is only 12 miles away, and you can reach it by either bicycle or car. Once there, you can relax on the white sand beaches, hike across forests, go fishing, or explore the most miniature tomb of Sweden. The Semmingput archipelago in southern Sweden has about 700 small islands. Summing Island is the largest in the world. Here, in the quiet waters in the archipelago, you can live for weeks without encountering other humans. Its solitude makes it an absolutely perfect place for a surprise proposal with a 3 stone engagement ring in tow. An ideal spot to celebrate your love for one another without the fireworks, it is a place for beauty and solitude in equal measure, and as you explore the place, it is the tranquility of the place that brings people back time and time again.

These islands are worth visiting for anyone who likes wild and not very populated landscapes. Summers are short but very warm, while winters are snowy. Fishing is commonplace, with an area of 395 km2 dedicated to it.
Rabjerg Mile
You can find Rabjerg Mile in northern Denmark, and it includes a raised platform with the most beautiful vista of any country in Scandinavia. The view consists of not only the town of Aalborg but also all neighbouring towns and villages. Rabjerg Mile is a megalithic grave dating back to the Bronze Age. It also has two contorted oak trees and a pond where you can see an old fishing net. Rabjerg Mile is located in the northernmost part of Jutland, and it is a popular destination for hikers and cyclists because it has beautiful views and challenging terrain. The Troll Wall, Norway
The Troll Wall is 450 meters tall and one of the tallest free-standing mountains in Norway. It is located just outside Oslo, about 10 km southeast of Moss. The Troll Wall defines the border between the Norwegian counties of Østfold to the west, Akershus to the east.
The name translated means “troll wall” or “trolls’ wall”,; but it refers to troll tinder, rock formations protruding from rock faces in trolleskilen.
Conclusion
In Scandinavia, life is much simpler, and guides to happiness are easier to find. The Scandinavian countries, Denmark, Norway, Sweden and Finland, have been rated as the happiest in Europe since 2013. These four countries rank high despite higher taxes and living costs than other European countries. If you live in one of the four countries, it doesn’t matter because: your personal safety has traditionally been unquestioned; you get paid vacations and private health insurance; these countries take care of the environment and their wildlife; income inequality is less than in other regions in Europe.
