December 4, 2025 – LOS ANGELES, CA — NEON and Universal Pictures International have officially announced the global release of Baz Luhrmann’s highly anticipated EPiC: Elvis Presley In Concert. The film will first debut in a special one-week exclusive IMAX® engagement beginning February 20, 2026, allowing audiences to experience Elvis Presley’s voice, presence, and charisma through the unmatched audiovisual power of IMAX. Following this limited engagement, the film will open in theaters worldwide on February 27th.
Directed by visionary filmmaker Baz Luhrmann—best known for Elvis, The Great Gatsby, and Moulin Rouge!—EPiC has already created a buzz across international festivals. The film premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival to glowing reviews, a standing ovation, and even spontaneous dancing in the aisles. Critics have described it as a riveting, high-energy celebration of the King of Rock ‘n’ Roll. A Cinematic Time Capsule of Elvis at His Peak
EPiC offers fans a rare opportunity to see Elvis like never before. The film incorporates long-lost footage from Presley’s monumental Las Vegas residency in the 1970s, rare 16mm material from Elvis on Tour, and cherished 8mm film preserved in the Graceland archives. Adding to its emotional depth, the film features rediscovered recordings of Elvis narrating his own story, creating a deeply personal and intimate portrayal of the legendary performer.
This marks Luhrmann’s second major project centered on Elvis Presley. His 2022 feature film Elvis earned eight Academy Award® nominations, multiple BAFTA® and Golden Globe® wins, and grossed nearly $300 million worldwide.
