If you’re someone who loves to travel and go on adventures, one of the things that you want to do is ensure that you are documenting your adventures as best you can. Your memory will only take you so far, and you can still enjoy your travel experience, you should just make sure that you’re still getting some evidence of your trips.
This way, you don’t have to worry about not being able to look back one day, or share your adventures with those that you care about. In this article, we’re going to be taking a look at some of the ways that you can make sure you’re documenting these well, so keep reading if you would like to find out more.
Disposable Camera
The first thing that we’re going to look at is getting one of those disposable cameras that people always used to use. While it might not be the first choice for many due to the quality against a proper camera, it’s a great way to capture some beautiful moments, without being able to look back and change what you’ve done. It’s an exciting time when you get back home and you’re able to get them developed, seeing your adventures back.
If you then decide down the line that you want to get these photos on your phone or any other device, then you can look into scanning photos from your phone. There are apps that allow you to do this, so it’s worth looking into them. This way, you have a physical copy, and a tech copy.
Start A Blog
It might be worth looking into starting a blog if this is something you think that you might be interested in. If you want to share the things that you’ve been doing with others, and you love to write, then a blog might be a good idea for you. You can add pictures if you want to, but the blog is largely about the written word, which means that you need to be able to communicate clearly and concisely.
It might take some time for you to get some readers, especially some regular ones, but if you start social media pages for your blog, and you advertise your blog on your personal social media, the chances are you’re going to be noticed.
Vlog It All
If you’re someone who has watched vlogs in the past and thought that this could be something that you might be good at, now is the time to try. When you’re out on your adventures, you can carry your phone or camera around with you, talking to it, letting people know what you are doing, and showing them.
Many people find this inspiring and it gives them ideas of things that they can do. Or, it lets them live vicariously through you if they are not able to do the things they want to right now. Over time, you will probably get some regulars watching your vlogs.
Just make sure you’re not missing fun bits out of your vlog! You don’t want to talk too much without showing what you’re talking about – and that’s what a lot of people think about. You need a good balance between the two.
Scrapbooking
Scrapbooking might seem old fashioned these days, but it’s a super fun way to document your travel adventures. It’s the perfect method for you to be able to have these memories in your home in physical form, but also allows you to share them with your nearest and dearest when you want to.
These memories last a lifetime, and you get to lay them out however you want to. A mixture of photos, words, and whatever else you want can be included. You can put your plane tickets, stubs from shows you have been to see, and so much more in here.
We hope that you have found this article helpful, and now see some of the things that you can do to document memories while you’re traveling. We know that it’s not always the easiest thing to do, and you might not have found a way that you enjoy yet, but hopefully one of these will make the list. You sometimes have to try a few different things out before you can actually decide which one is right for you, so that’s what you should work on. You may even find that it’s the thing you thought was the least likely to work for you, that works the best.
