Fabian Arnold is 25 years old and from Cologne, Germany. He grew up in a small town country side right before the city cologne. His hobbies were soccer, handball and hanging around in the forest building tree houses. As he got bullied in school he wanted to change something and started going to the gym in age of 16. That changed his life as he got scouted for modelling in age of 18 at a fitness faire in Cologne.
After high-school he studied insurance management and did an apprenticeship as an insurance merchant in Cologne. He finished as one of the best in Germany and got scouted for a sponsorship but kindly declined because he wanted to go to Australia for backpacking to learn more about life and to approve my English.
He started with Social Media in 2017, when he posted my first model pictures on Instagram. As a fashion model he has been working since 2018. After a year in Australia, he has lived in many different countries like Singapore, New Zealand, Milan and LA for modelling. It was always his dream to move to LA for business but covid made it impossible for him to get the visa. It took me roughly 3 years to get the talent visa for the states and in June 2022, he finally moved to LA.
During the time of covid and lockdowns, he started working on his social media, and built over 2,7 M Followers across the platforms and founded his own production company for image movies and campaigns in Germany called FXA Media GmbH. Beside that he is working on an own clothing brand.
How did you get into fitness?
Fitness was always a big part of my life. In my childhood, every kind of sport was fascinating to me. As I was always the smallest in school I wanted to show everyone else that I can change myself. When I was 16 years old I started going to the gym to become bigger. It not only improved my fitness and body shape as it also improves my whole mindset and self-esteem. That’s why I always recommend to everyone to do sports as it’s not only for your body 🙂
What is your fitness routine?
I usually go to the gym like 6 times per week. I train Push/Pull/Legs and every muscle group twice a week. I do a lot of drop sets and push myself til the end.
What about your diet?
I hate the word diet as it’s always not your usual nutrition. I always try to eat healthy and don’t really live after a specific diet. I have my routine which is 2 big meals a day and always when I feel hungry I take a healthy snack.
Are there any new techniques that you’ve learned recently?
As I am going to get into acting I am reading a lot of books and went to acting classes.. that’s definitely one of the most important skills I learned recently.
How did you get into modeling?
I was scouted on the biggest fitness fair in Europe called “Fibo”. A photographer came to me and asked me if I wanted to do modeling.
In 2018 in Australia I got scouted again and got my first proper fashion model agency. In 2019 I signed my mother agency agreement with DT Model Management in La.
You have quite the social media following. How did you build it and do you have any advice for anyone else trying to build a following?
Try to stick to your niche and do what you love. Work hard every day and at the end it will pay off 🙂
What have been your greatest struggles?
First lets start talking about my childhood. As I was always the smallest and skinniest in school it wasn’t easy for me to be one of the cool kids so I acted as the entertainer. But I wasn’t really popular and most of the girls didn’t want to talk to me.
So I decided to go full on and change. I started going to the gym and that spirit is still what keeps me driving every day to keep pushing to work on myself and my goals.
Another big struggle working in the model industry ist you have so many people telling you that you are to small or to big or your look is not in right now. So it all started in Australia when I first started seeing model agencies in 2018. I got so many “No” that they didn’t want to sign me. Finally I found a smaller boutique agency that signed me. From there I Went to all the agencies in London, Milan and Germany and they all told me I 183cm is too small to be a model. I still don’t know if they just didn’t like my look or if that’s just an excuse for any other reason. But I kept working on myself and my social media until I finally got my work visa for America and working with the best photographers and magazines around the world. Also I build up a social media following over 2.7M around my channels. NEVER GIVE UP.
What are some of your favorite travel experiences?
Eastcoast Roadtrip Australia 2018! As some of you know I love Road-trips in campervans and that’s what I did in 2018 with a couple friends traveling up the east coast of Australia. Definitely worth it!
Who are some of your influencer friends that we should follow?
In Germany I probably know almost all of them. Definitely go follow my brother as he is also trying to do social media since a couple month @felixxarnold.
Where do you find your inspiration?
I guess in Zac Efron and Nick Bateman.
Where can we find you?
