On April 19, 2026, Los Angeles’ food scene came together for one of its most anticipated annual events as Masters of Taste returned to the field of the Rose Bowl Stadium. The eighth edition of the outdoor luxury food and beverage festival once again blended high-end culinary experiences with a meaningful cause, bringing together more than 3,000 guests for an afternoon of indulgence, community, and philanthropy.
Set against the iconic Pasadena backdrop, the event transformed the stadium into a vibrant tasting ground where top chefs, mixologists, and artisans showcased the best of Los Angeles’ dynamic culinary landscape.

A Celebration Led by Acclaimed Host Chefs
This year’s event was helmed by husband-and-wife duo Chef Thomas Kalb and Chef Vanessa Tilaka Kalb, the culinary minds behind Agnes Restaurant & Cheesery. Known for their refined yet approachable approach to Californian cuisine, the pair brought their signature focus on seasonal ingredients and thoughtful sourcing to the forefront of the festival.
Their leadership set the tone for an experience that balanced elevated technique with a welcoming, community-driven atmosphere—reflecting both their culinary philosophy and the spirit of the event itself.

A Showcase of Los Angeles’ Culinary Talent
Masters of Taste 2026 featured an impressive lineup of more than 110 Culinary Masters and restaurants, each offering signature tastings that highlighted the diversity of the city’s food culture.
Participants included standout names such as Alexander’s Steakhouse, BOA Steakhouse, Bone Kettle, Emporium Thai, Lunasia Dim Sum House, and Poppy + Rose, among many others.
From wood-fired pizzas and refined steakhouse bites to global street food and contemporary Asian cuisine, the offerings created a culinary journey that spanned cultures and styles—all within a single afternoon.

Sweet Masters and Decadent Desserts
No culinary celebration would be complete without dessert, and this year’s Sweet Masters delivered an equally memorable experience.
Guests sampled an array of treats from beloved names like Porto’s Bakery & Café, alongside artisanal creations from boutique dessert makers specializing in pastries, gelato, cakes, and confections. The dessert lineup added a playful and indulgent layer to the event, balancing the savory offerings with creative sweetness.
Elevated Sips from Beverage Masters
Complementing the food was a curated selection of Beverage Masters, offering handcrafted cocktails, fine wines, craft beers, and premium non-alcoholic options.
Top mixologists and spirits brands—including Above Board Liqueurs, Empress 1908 Gin, and Nosotros Tequila—served signature cocktails, while local breweries like Arts District Brewing Company and Boomtown Brewery brought a taste of Los Angeles’ craft beer scene.
Wine and sake selections from producers such as Navarro Vineyards and Ascension Cellars rounded out the experience, alongside non-alcoholic offerings like boba teas, cold brew coffee, and refreshing aguas frescas.
More Than a Festival: A Mission-Driven Event
Beyond the culinary excellence, Masters of Taste continues to stand out for its philanthropic mission. Every dollar raised from the event directly benefits Union Station Homeless Services, an organization that has spent over five decades working to end homelessness across the San Gabriel Valley.
With a remarkable 97% success rate in permanently housing individuals, Union Station’s work focuses on long-term solutions through outreach, housing, and community integration. Over the past seven years, Masters of Taste has contributed more than $3.5 million to support these efforts.
A Festival That Continues to Define L.A.’s Culinary Scene
Following previous sold-out editions, Masters of Taste 2026 reaffirmed its place as one of the city’s most meaningful and sought-after food events.
By bringing together top-tier culinary talent, a diverse range of flavors, and a strong philanthropic purpose, the festival created an experience that went beyond dining—it became a celebration of community, creativity, and impact.
Where Flavor Meets Purpose
As the sun set over the Rose Bowl, the event left behind more than satisfied palates. It reinforced a powerful idea: that food has the ability not only to bring people together, but also to drive meaningful change.
In Los Angeles, where culinary innovation is constant, Masters of Taste continues to stand out—not just for what’s on the plate, but for what it represents.
