The Original Doughbrik’s Snacks, the rapidly growing snack brand co-founded by globally recognized content creator David Dobrik, unveiled exciting new innovations to its popular chip line, WAVERS, at Natural Products Expo West 2026. The event took place from March 3–6, 2026, at the Anaheim Convention Center in California.

A Major Ingredient Upgrade: Avocado Oil and Gluten-Free Innovation

At the center of the announcement was a major formulation shift across the brand’s entire snack portfolio. The Original Doughbrik’s Snacks officially transitioned away from seed oils and pivoted to avocado oil, a move that aligned with growing consumer demand for more transparent and health-conscious ingredients.

In addition, the company took another important step by transitioning its product line to a completely gluten-free platform. All wheat products were removed from the recipe, making the snack accessible to a broader audience while maintaining the bold flavor profile that helped the brand gain momentum in the competitive snack market.

Visitors attending the expo experienced these new product developments firsthand. WAVERS exhibited in North Hall at Booth #N1139, open March 4–6, with a special appearance day held on March 4.

Meet the Faces Behind the Brand

Expo attendees had the opportunity to sample WAVERS’ crave-worthy flavors and meet some of the founders and investors behind the fast-rising snack brand. Alongside David Dobrik, appearances were made by investor Ben Waddell and musician Ryan Cabrera.

The brand was co-founded by Dobrik and longtime friend Ilya Fedorovich. Product development and growth strategy were guided by consumer packaged goods veterans Adam Cohen and Jerry Bello, founders of Tastemaker Food Co.

The inspiration for WAVERS traced back to the fan-favorite pizza combinations served at Dobrik’s West Hollywood pizzeria, Doughbrik’s Pizza. Translating those flavors into a snack format, the brand delivered bold taste in a light, crispy chip designed for modern snack lovers.

One of the most anticipated highlights at Expo West was the debut of WAVERS’ newest flavor, Freakin’ Hot. Designed for snackers who crave heat and excitement, the new variety delivered a fiery kick with every bite.

The bold flavor combined intense spice with the signature crispy texture that defined the brand’s snack line. Despite the heat, the product still aligned with the company’s clean-label philosophy.

Each serving contained just 130–140 calories, was non-GMO, and was made with avocado oil. The chips were also produced without artificial flavors or preservatives, offering consumers a better-for-you snack option that did not compromise on taste.

Beyond flavor innovation, the company also focused on expanding its retail presence nationwide. Adam Cohen and Jerry Bello were available during the event to discuss the brand’s growth strategy, product innovation pipeline, and future expansion plans.
