Madiz | 55.4m | Alisha Shipbuilding Co. | 1902 | €8,750,000
One of the few yachts to still be cruising from the early 20th century, Madiz is a 124-year-old 55.4 classic motor yacht. Built in 1902 by Ailsa Shipbuilding in Troon, Scotland, there is no other classic yacht of this size, age, or original state available in the fleet. The oldest yacht in operation to hold a Lloyd’s classification, she was initially constructed to serve as a support yacht for the grand schooner-rigged sailing yacht Gleniffer, from James Coates Jnr. Madiz went on to serve in the Royal Navy in both world wars, first as an auxiliary patrol yacht in WWI and later as an anti-submarine boat and royal patrol yacht, during which she hosted the British Royal Family. She changed hands countless times before passing into the ownership of Konstantinos Keletsekis in the 1970s, when she was renamed Madiz. In 2003, her owner brought her back to Lloyd’s 100A1 class, and she was acquired by her current owners in 2010. Today, the steel-hull Madiz features the same sense of classic British Victorian designs from when she was first built. Powered by two Mercedes 250 hp engines, Madiz can accommodate 14 guests across seven staterooms, with a crew of ten. The owner’s suite features a private outdoor deck, and one of the other bedrooms includes an office. Located in Perama, Athens, she is complemented by a 6m Riva Superflorida tender and a 6m classic launch boat and is available for sale with an asking price of €8,750,000.

Candida | 36.16m, | Camper & Nicholson | 1929 | €5,000,000
Offering potential buyers the opportunity to own a part of sailing history, the 36.16m Candida is one of the last few remaining Camper & Nicholson yachts within this size category, as well as one of the last J Class yachts available, making her a rare model within the sailing sector. With a rich history steeped in racing, Candida draws attention wherever she sails. Designed by Charles E. Nicholson, she is one of two historic 23mR racing yachts that have been successfully converted into a restored classic yacht. Retaining her traditional design aesthetic with wooden panelling throughout and classic nautical interiors, Candida can welcome up to six guests across three staterooms, with accommodation for a crew of seven. Powered by twin CAT engines of 322 hp, she has a top speed of 11 knots and a cruising speed of 10 knots. Undergoing an extensive refit in 2024, Candida is available in pristine condition for sale, with an asking price of €5,000,000.
