Gold House to Host First Asian American-Led March in Washington DC

A group of people are participating in a demonstration holding signs against Asian hate and supporting the AAPI community.

Gold House will be hosting the first-ever Asian-American-led march on the National Mall in DC on June 25th along with AAJC, APIAVote, and 70+ multicultural partner organizations. This Unity March is more timely than ever, given it marks the 40th year since the murder of Vincent Chin and the one-year mark since last year’s deadly mass shootings as well as all the recent compounding events affecting immigrant communities and women these past few months. The Gold House Equity Platform focuses on advancing socioeconomic and cultural equity, racial justice, and solidarity for intersectional communities.

On the program, Geena Rocero, Jose Antonio Vargas, Rev. Al Sharpton, Thuy, Jason Chu, Jeremy Lin (via video), and Helen Zia (via video) as well as many community speakers and organizers are featured. This event will be covered on national broadcasts by CBS and NBC Networks, as well as streamed in full on Facebook.
