Gurus Magazine’s Dazzling #30Voices30Days Launch

On June 1st, Gurus Magazine unveiled its inaugural #30Voices30Days initiative with a flourish. The event began with a VIP daytime Pride Wellness Retreat at the Godfrey Hotel Hollywood’s Element Lounge, followed by a vibrant Pride Cover Launch Party that evening. Hosted by Derek Warburton, the magazine’s founder, the event marked the release of thirty unique covers throughout June, each spotlighting different voices from the LGBTQ+ community. The event was produced by Rachel Wilson.

Star-Studded Attendees and Pampering Sessions

The retreat saw notable figures such as Emmy Award winner Niecy Nash and Drag Race star Laganja Estranja enjoying luxurious treatments like hydrafacials and massages courtesy of South Bay Plastic Surgeons and R3 Anti Aging Medspa Beverly Hills. Other celebrities, including Valentina of Drag Race Mexico and Cynthia Bailey from RHOA, indulged in beauty enhancements from top-tier professionals.

A Show of Gifts and Glamour

Throughout the day, guests were treated to a plethora of gifts ranging from custom shoes by Freshy in velvet bags to skincare treasures from Peter Thomas Roth. The atmosphere buzzed with excitement and luxury, culminating in a shower of rainbow balloons.

The celebrations continued with a Pride Bazaar showcasing exquisite jewelry and bespoke merchandise, complemented by delicious rainbow pasta from The Blonde Italian. Amber Walker Events magnificently designed the Poolside Pride Party Lounge, adding an extra layer of elegance to the evening.

Musical Highlights and Closing Acts

The night was further enlivened with performances by Gary Thomas Entertainment and an unexpected duet by Niecy Nash and Jessica Betts. The event concluded with heartfelt speeches about the importance of LGBTQ+ visibility and a stunning performance by YellaCatt, which included a sneak peek of her latest video.
